earlier this year i made a trip to san diego to study with carrie sandoval and brittany woodall, the two women behind the baby as art team. i was thrilled to have the opportunity to work through posing, shooting, and workflow details with carrie and britt, as i’ve drawn so much inspiration from their work. it was a very full couple of days at carrie’s studio, with my head swimming in the evenings at my hotel anticipating the next day’s shoots. anyone who appreciates newborn photography should definitely take a look at their ground-breaking and internationally renowned work. here’s a few examples of what we accomplished in a few short days… posing by carrie sandoval and brittany woodall, image capture and editing by morgaine owens.
